Intimate Funeral Service Chapel
Our modest and intimate Service Chapel is situated within our Funeral Home on Worle High Street
and is perfect for those wishing to hold a more comfortable and private service for up to 12 attendees.
Our service chapel provides the family with the time and space to
assist them in keeping those tender moments more private.
The unattended Direct Cremation will follow within three working days of the
ceremony, at a time and date that you can be informed of upon request.
Within our Service Chapel
the family have the freedom to take greater control
over the way in which they choose to say goodbye
The Ceremony
Your time is your own. You can choose to have a formal funeral service led by our Groves Family Funeral Celebrant or you may choose to have your family lead. Alternatively, you may wish to simply listen to some music while you all informally share your memories.
The Coffin
You can choose whether the coffin is present as well as the having the option in having the coffin open during the ceremony. The lighting of candles and burning of incense is also welcome as are any other religious or ritual rights.
Media
Our service chapel is able to facilitate your musical requirements as well as your video and slideshow requests. The time spent within the chapel can also be webcast or recorded in order that absent friends and family may join you remotely.

Our Professional Service
Our staff, service and expertise will be available to you whenever you require, 24 hours a day. We will make all of the necessary arrangements on your behalf. We will prepare, collect and distribute all of the documentation and pay the external costs on your behalf to allow the cremation to legally proceed. We will remain available for any aftercare, advice and guidance as required.
Our meetings to arrange the service are available by appointment, 24 hours a day (to include evenings and weekends) and can take place either here at our funeral home or in the comfort of your own home.
Care of The Person Who Has Died
We will bring the person who has died into our care at the soonest available instance, 24 hours a day. The person who has died will be treated with the utmost care, respect and dignity throughout and will rest within a specific area set aside within our funeral home to ensure an appropriate environment at all times.
We will wash, prepare and dress the person who has died in accordance with your wishes. We will dress them in their own clothes if provided or you may choose for us to provide something suitable. We will follow any instruction given regarding presentation including your wishes on hairstyles or makeup where appropriate. We will take great care of any personal effects.
Visitation of the Person Who Has Died at Our Private Chapel of Rest
You are welcome to visit the person who has died at our Private Chapel of Rest. We ask that the chapel of rest visits are by appointment to ensure the exclusive use of our family room and chapel. Appointments for the chapel of rest can be made within our usual office hours of 9am-5pm. There is no limit to the number of visits made or length of time spent within the chapel of rest.
Our Service Chapel
The date and time of the Ceremony will be arranged for a mutually agreeable time and will offer the family up to 90 minuets within the Service Chapel on the day of the Ceremony.
Your media requirements are provided including photo/sideshow and video display, music and recording/webcasting facilities. Our Groves Family Funeral Celebrant who can write and deliver a personalised service for you or simply guide you through a more personal and family led Ceremony.
The Coffin
A simple, yet dignified wood effect coffin will be provided for the person who has died and will be finished with brass effect handles and nameplate. Internally trimmed with a white taffeta lining and pillow.
The Day of the Cremation
The coffin will be discreetly transported to a local crematorium of our choice within 3 working days of the Ceremony and will be accompanied by the Funeral Director. When at the crematorium, the coffin will be taken into the chapel by our bearers who will be lead by the Funeral Director. Dignity and respect will be shown throughout with appropriate music played as the Funeral Director and Bearers pause for a moment to acknowledge the coffin; a life lived and lost, before the curtains are closed around the coffin.
Although the cremation is to take place on a date of our choosing, we will inform you of the date and time if you so wish.
Handling of The Cremated Remains
The crematorium provide a simple card container in which the cremated remains will rest. Cremated remains can be scattered at the crematorium Garden of Rest or we can collect them on your behalf. If your wish is for us to collect, you can collect them from us, have them delivered to you or we can hold them in our chapel until such a time as you are ready to move forward with their care. The cremated remains are available from 2 working days after the cremation has taken place.
